Reading

  • We will be writing a story this week for our Reading-Writing Workshop.

 

 

 

  • Picture Day is September 13th. Please return forms ASAP.

  • Remember to bring DAWG books home and bring them back to school everyday.

  • South Dakota Reading Challenge logs will be starting soon. The challenge page will include all pages read from September to the end of January. This is on an honor system. Please record date, book, pages on the back of the week in a peek, and turn in on Mondays. We will collect these and keep track of the pages read.. Students may read independently or with an adult.

  • We should still be filling out the Week-at-a-Peek book logs and returning those on Mondays.

  • You can begin sending in Box Tops, Campbell’s soup labels, and pop-tabs.

 

 

Science:

We will soon be starting to do experiments in class. Each student will be given a time when he/she will do his or her experiment in class. A date will be sent home to you soon!

Math:

We will be starting Math Boxes that will be graded, number scrolls and number grids.

Social Studies:

We will continue learning about our country and the history behind our nation’s symbols.

Spanish:

We will be reviewing the alphabet and will be beginning greetings and salutations.
